Effective Interdisciplinary Social Sciences in Coastal and Marine Research at ZMT: Past, Present and Future

ZMT’s first social scientist arrived in 1996. With this, ZMT had, at the time, acquired a unique feature nationally and internationally. 30 years later, this symposium brings together experiences and expertise on past, current and possible future trajectories. Future trajectories are the focus, past patterns might provide useful pointers. The intention is to co-develop future paths towards an effective system-based interdisciplinary marine science supported by strong and diverse social sciences which fulfill key needs and potentials. We invite all colleagues to come and share their questions, experiences and expectations on this.
